Privacy policy
What Puzzle Yatra keeps about you, why, and how to make us delete it.
Last updated: 28 October 2026
The short version. You can play Puzzle Yatra as a guest without giving us your name, email or phone number. Your progress is kept on your phone. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we back it up so you can carry on on another phone. Children get no personalised ads. We never sell your data. You can delete your account and data from inside the game at any time, or ask us on the delete page.
Who we are
Puzzle Yatra is made and published by INCUBICS, the games brand of IQLEXA Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in India ("we", "us"). We decide how the data in this policy is used, so we are its data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its data controller under the GDPR.
This policy covers the Puzzle Yatra game for Android and iPhone (the "game"), the online services it uses, and this website, puzzleyatra.com (the "site").
Questions, requests and complaints: support@puzzleyatra.com. Our Grievance Officer can be reached at the same address with "Grievance" in the subject line.
How your age changes things
The first time you open the game, it asks how old you are: under 13, 13 to 17, or 18 or older. The answer stays on your phone and is never sent to us. It decides how the game protects you. In India, the law treats everyone under 18 as a child; elsewhere we do the same for everyone under 13.
| Children | Everyone else | |
|---|---|---|
| Ads | Non-personalised and suitable for all ages; the advertising ID isn't used. Optional videos for bonus coins and lives are hidden. | Personalised only if you allow it (on iPhone, through Apple's tracking prompt) |
| Signing in with Google or Apple | In India, a parent has to do it | Your choice |
| Game stats (analytics) | Not collected | Collected without your name or email |
What we collect and why
Kept only on your phone
Your age answer, your traveller, settings, levels, stars, coins, boosters, restored landmarks, postcards and challenge progress are stored on your phone so the game works offline. As a guest, we can't see any of it. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it.
Signing in and cloud save
You can sign in with Google (through Google Play Games on Android) or, on iPhone, with Apple. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication from Google, which keeps an account ID for you and the email address and name Google or Apple share with it. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only get a private relay address.
When you're signed in, the game backs up your progress (the things listed above, plus a record of what you've bought) to Cloud Firestore from Google, under your account ID, so you can restore it on a new phone. Only your own account can read or change it.
Purchases
Coin packs, the No Ads pack, the Yatra Pass and other items are sold through Google Play or the App Store. Google or Apple takes your payment; we never see your card, UPI or bank details. The game receives a receipt saying which item you bought, so it can give it to you and restore it later.
Ads
Puzzle Yatra is free, and ads help pay for it. Most ads are rewarded videos you choose to watch, for extra moves, coins or a free life. From level 15, after a win, you may also see a full-screen ad, no more than one every few minutes. Anyone who has bought anything in the game never sees these.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google receives your phone's advertising ID (on Android) or, only if you allow tracking, its IDFA (on iPhone), your IP address and basic device information, to show the ad, count it and prevent fraud. For children, every ad request is marked as being for a child, so the advertising ID isn't used and ads are limited to ones suitable for all ages. See how Google uses information in ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
Game stats
For players who aren't children, the game sends events to Google Analytics for Firebase, such as a level being started, won or lost, a challenge being played, an item being bought, and an ad reward being given. Firebase also records an app instance ID, your phone model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country. We use this to see which levels are too hard and which parts people enjoy. It never includes your name or email.
Crash reports
When the game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us the error, your phone model, operating system and app version, so we can fix it.
Game settings from our server
When it starts, the game asks our server for the day's settings: festival events, the daily puzzle, prices in coins and news. The request carries no account details. Our server sees your IP address, which we use only to limit abuse and keep the service secure.
Sharing your progress
The game can make a picture of your progress to share. It goes through your phone's own share menu to whoever you choose; it doesn't pass through us.
Support and deletion requests
If you write to us through the support or delete forms or by email, we keep what you send (your name if you give it, your email address, your message, and the phone type or sign-in method you pick), with the time and the IP address it came from to stop spam. We use it only to answer you.
This website
puzzleyatra.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. Our web server logs each request (IP address, page, browser) for security.
What we don't collect
The game doesn't ask for your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files. It has no chat, and other players never see anything about you: the travellers you race against in challenges are run by the game.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data. We use these service providers, who process data for us under contract:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics and Crashlytics; Google Play Games; Google Play; AdMob) | Sign-in, cloud save, game stats, crash reports, Android purchases, ads |
| Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store) | Sign-in and purchases on iPhone |
| Our cloud server provider | Hosts this site, our server and the support inbox |
| Our email provider | Support emails |
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect players or the service from fraud or abuse, or to a buyer if INCUBICS or Puzzle Yatra is sold, who would have to keep to this policy.
Some of these providers store data outside India, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer rules that apply to us and on the providers' contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in account and cloud save | Until you delete your account. We may delete accounts that haven't been used for 2 years. |
| Support messages and replies | Up to 2 years after the conversation ends |
| Deletion requests | The request and our reply for 1 year after we finish it, so we can show it was done |
| Server and website logs | Up to 14 days |
| Game stats and crash reports | Under Google's retention settings: game stats for 14 months, crash reports for 90 days |
Deleting your account
In the game, open Settings and tap Delete my account and data. This deletes your progress from your phone and your cloud save from our servers straight away. You can also ask us on the delete page, even if you no longer have the game; we'll delete your sign-in account and cloud save within 30 days and email you when it's done.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we've shared it with;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop using it for game stats or personalised ads.
Under India's DPDP Act you can also nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or can't do so yourself, and complain to our Grievance Officer. If we don't resolve your complaint, you can go to the Data Protection Board of India. If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the rights to data portability and to object, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Email support@puzzleyatra.com from the address of the Google or Apple account you play with, so we can find your account. We reply within 7 days and complete requests within 30 days.
Children
Puzzle Yatra is a family game, so we've built it to be safe for children. They get only non-personalised ads suitable for all ages, no game stats are collected about them, and in India a parent has to sign in for them. There's no chat and no way for other players to contact them.
If you're a parent and think your child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it. See our child safety standards.
Security
Everything between the game, our server and Google's services is encrypted with HTTPS. Cloud saves can be read only by the account they belong to. Access to support requests is limited to the people who run Puzzle Yatra, and they sign in with one-time codes. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects your data we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll tell you in the game before it takes effect.
